Jasper and turquoise pendant with sterling silver Western-style heart, on leather cord. This piece was definitely inspired by the years I spent growing up, living, and traveling in the desert region of the American Southwest — the turquoise blue skies, the bands of brown and red rock and sand in the hills, the spirit of freedom in the great wide open. This necklace is one-of-a-kind (OOAK), only one available, designed and handmade in my private studio. The item you see here is exactly the item you will receive. All of the metal bits are sterling silver. Necklace is adjustable between 17 and 18 inches, with trigger clasp. Gift boxed.

In folklore, turquoise represents the spirit of the sky. Jasper is said to bring protection, comfort, and justice to the wearer.

These earrings are made with images of the Emperor and the Empress from a miniature deck of Tarot cards. Images are sealed with Diamond Glaze in brass frames, and embellished with gold and orange glitter. Accented with faceted Czech glass beads. Brass leverback earwires. Images measure 3/4-by-1-inch, earrings are a total of 2-1/2 inches long from top of leverback wires to bottom of frames (image enlarged to show detail). “I just received the pink bead necklace and it’s gorgeous!” — J.Y., July 2008

I have identified the same type of bead that Kaylee is seen wearing on the cover of the FIREFLY DVD, the second Official Firefly Companion book, and in other FIREFLY promotional pictures. The beads are from Italy. I also found a type of cord that looks just like hers. It is tan buckskin (made in the USA). I currently have 3 of these necklaces left, but am out of buckskin and will need to see if I can find more. These necklaces are adjustable, with an extension chain that allows them to be worn up to 18 inches.

This is one of the few items on my website that I’ve made several times (most other items are one-of-a-kind). I will continue making these for as long as I am able to obtain the beads and materials. Depending on my schedule, and whether I have any necklaces finished or the materials available, this item might not be shipped for 4-6 weeks.
