I think this would be a nice piece to wear to Thanksgiving dinner. I’ve been calling this my “tomato soup” necklace, but that probably doesn’t sound very pretty, does it? “Pretty as a bowl of tomato soup” isn’t a phrase you hear very often. Haha… And this is a pretty necklace. It features peach aventurine (the center stone) and real garnets. The faceted beads are opaque Czech glass in an unusual creamy reddish-orange color. They are warmer and more yummy looking in real life — I couldn’t quite get the picture to do it justice. Strung on dark orange silk, finished with copper-colored chain and clasp. These earrings are based on the earrings worn by the character “Inara” in the cult sci-fi Joss Whedon TV show FIREFLY episode “Jaynestown.” I spent quite a bit of time examining each frame in which the earrings appeared, and have done my best to replicate them with the materials available to me. I have made other pairs of these before, over the years, but I do not know when I will be able to make them again. I have a particularly hard time finding good brass cones and large purple glass beads.

The picture shows exactly the item you will receive, and there is currently only this one pair available. These earrings feature nickel-free brass leverback earwires, purple India glass beads, Czech glass beads, and vintage filigree balls. They measure 1-3/4 inches long, not including the earwires in that measurement. Gift boxed.
